Behind the Build
The piece began as a digital blueprint, where every element of the composition was individually designed, scaled, and assigned to a specific hardwood species.
More than 300 unique components were precision-cut and carefully assembled by hand, transforming fifteen distinct wood species into a single unified landscape.
Every color and texture originates from the material itself. No paint, stain, or artificial coloration was used at any stage of the process.
The custom frame is constructed from layered Wenge, Maple, and Padauk, with contrasting Yellowheart splines reinforcing each corner.
